Mongolian BBQ Seitan
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tbs agave
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp chili-garlic sauce
- 2 tbs canola oil
- 8 ounces seitan
- 1 head of broccoli
- 2 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 ground cloves
- 2 scallions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- rice for serving
To make the sauce mix together the hoisin sauce, water, soy sauce, agave, lemon juice, and chili-garlic sauce.
Heat oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Stir-fry the seitan and broccoli until the seitan is browned and the broccoli is soft. Next, add the ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Cook everything for a few more minutes.
Add the sauce. Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the sauce gets thicker. When done, add the scallions and cilantro. Serve over rice!
