Classic French Toast
Having just got back from a camping trip around Iceland, I woke up this morning wanting something warm, comforting, and sweet...something I could cozy up on the couch with my morning tea and listen to some music with. This recipe is ridiculously easy to make and oh-so-tasty! I added some fresh bananas and topped with some maple syrup! Here's to summer vacation and french toast on a Monday morning!
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbs corn starch
- Add milk, banana, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and cornstarch to food processor and combine.
- Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Dip slices of bread into mixture until fully coated.
- On medium-low heat cook bread until golden brown on each side.
- Serve with fresh fruit and maple syrup (of course!)
